Help Mohiy and his family

image

Account: @mohiygaza21

Vetted by 90-Ghost and by association

After experiencing complications with gofundme, Mohiy and his family are now relying on paypal to receive donations. Please support his family through the link above and share.

Most of the funds Mohiy was able to raise on gofundme have gone towards his family’s survival. With the rising costs of goods, they need continued support to be able to meet their most basic needs. Resources are scarce and expensive as it is, but winter has added to the suffering of everyone in Gaza, making the needs for things like warm food, warm clothes, and shelter even greater as cold and rain worsen already dangerous living conditions. Mohiy’s mother, who suffers from chronic illness, is especially vulnerable right now due to the freezing temperatures.

Please donate and share to help offer Mohiy and his family some relief. Every contribution helps, no matter how small.

‎‏There is only $250 left, please, please, please contribute to them. I am under the shooting. I want to buy a Fuel to evacuate. Please, please, please, please, please, please, take my situation very seriously. Do not underestimate my situation. I am my life in your hands, I will die. Is it easy for you to die? Is your conscience comfortable when you don’t help me on the way to possible death? I can’t imagine the situation I’m in.

You can donate through my paypal account,

I’m under the bullets of planes and tanks in front of me everywhere, please. Contribute to a donation that helps me get out of the dangerous area.

This campaign is vetted!

It is vetted via association! I found out through this reblog from @/dlxxv-vetted-donations

However I will try and put the info in this reblog too

@/mohiy-gaza confirmed to @/dlxxv-vetted-donations that Abood was their brother

@/mohiy-gaza is vetted because @/90-ghost reblogged a post of theirs containing their GFM

Hello 👋

I am Maysaa Aldahdooh from Gaza

My family and I face death, hunger, and diseases every day. We are a Palestinian family in desperate need of help from anyone with a conscience, a compassionate heart, and a sense of humanity.

image

Help us overcome these hardships

I am reaching out to you today, standing firm as I face unbelievable challenges. Life in our area has become increasingly difficult due to the ongoing and escalating conflict, and I am struggling to secure the basic necessities for myself and my family.

About me and my family:

I am 38 years old, married to Hossam Al-Dahdoh, and we have five children: Jamal, 16 years old; Mohammed, 14 years old, who suffers from a chronic disease called Mediterranean fever and must take lifelong medication; Layan, 10 years old; Amir, 8 years old; and Zina, 4 years old.

We have faced death dozens of times. Our home was completely destroyed and burned, making it uninhabitable. We have been displaced more than 20 times, and we narrowly escaped certain death on several occasions. We have lost over 100 relatives, neighbors, and loved ones. The area where I live is constantly under attack with rockets, shelling, and gunfire. We struggle to find healthy food, clean drinking water, and my son Mohammed cannot access the medicine he needs. My children can no longer attend school. For these reasons, my family and I have decided to leave Gaza in order to protect the lives of my children from death, hunger, disease, and the effects of war, food shortages, lack of medicine, polluted water, and the destruction of educational institutions

How you can help us:

• By making a financial donation, even if it’s a small amount.

• By sharing our story on social media.

• By offering words of support and encouragement.

The funds we raise will be used for:

• Helping us with the costs of leaving Gaza and seeking refuge in a country that respects human rights, such as Canada, Belgium, or Sweden. The costs of leaving are high, with each family member needing $5,000 to leave. Since we will be starting our life from scratch outside Gaza, we will also need housing, electrical appliances, cooking utensils, education expenses, medicine, and health and psychological rehabilitation.

“My Story: A Boy Fighting for His Family”

My name is Ahmed, and I am 15 years old. I never thought I would have to carry the weight of my entire family, but here I am, fighting every day to keep them alive.

We lost my father in the war. He went out one day to find food for us because we were starving. It was dangerous, but he had no choice. He never came back. He was injured and bled to death because there was no one to help him. Our neighbors found his body and buried him because we couldn’t even afford a proper burial. That day, we lost everything—our protector, our provider, and our hope.

image

Now, it’s up to me. I am the eldest son, and I have to take care of my mother, my twin brother Ahmed Abed, and my two little sisters. Every morning, I go out to find work. I earn barely $1 or $2 a day, which isn’t enough to buy bread for all of us. My brother started working too, but it’s the same for him. We rely on bread and whatever humanitarian aid we can get, but it’s never enough.

Winter is here, and it’s freezing. We don’t have warm clothes, blankets, or even a heater. We lost everything in the war, and the little we have now is falling apart. We live in a rented apartment, and the landlord is pressuring us for rent we can’t pay. I don’t know what will happen to us if he throws us out.

image

I want my brother to become a doctor. It’s my biggest dream. I want him to help people, to save lives, because no one was there to save our father. I’m ready to sacrifice everything—my childhood, my education, even my life—if it means my family can survive and my brother can have a future.

image

Please, if you’re reading this, help us. We don’t have much time. My family needs food, warmth, and a safe place to live. I just want to see my mother and sisters smile again, and I want my brother to have a chance to achieve his dream. You can be the reason we survive. You can be the hope we desperately need.

unvetted as far as i can tell but RIS is clean and donations are protected.

this fundraiser is very new and they have not received any donations so far. if you can send anything to get their campaign going, please do. and if you know anyone who can help get them vetted, please send it their way.

Charcoal-Burnished Vessel, Magdalene Odundo, 1983, Art Institute of Chicago: Arts of Africa

Kenyan-born ceramic artist Magdalene Odundo is one of the foremost contemporary artists from Africa working today. Born in Kenya in 1950 and currently living in the United Kingdom, Odundo creates works that rely on a unique combination of formal and surface treatments and are almost ethereal in their effect. Odundo attained the dark and slightly metallic color of this vessel through multiple firings rather than the application of glazes. The work’s tilted and ringed neck, raised spine, and round belly connect it to other vessels in Odundo’s oeuvre that explore the female body. The beauty, refinement, and technical mastery of Odundo’s art allow her work to transcend stereotypes and boundaries. While her vessels resonate with ceramic traditions from Africa and other parts of the world, they also stand on an equal footing with other works of contemporary art, particularly those that challenge commonly held notions about functionality (see also 1997.63).—Permanent Collection Object Description Director’s Major Acquisition Endowment
Size: 30.5 x 22.9 cm (12 x 9 in.)
Medium: Ceramic and pigment

hebanaseif:

Hello 👋

Please take a moment to read my story.

I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.

image

We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled’s university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.

image

Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt’s house, but it too Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.

image
image

If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. Due to exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, lack of security, the ongoing siege, and relentless bombardment, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity, with constant shelling and shrapnel flying above us? Dear compassionate friends around the world,

With your generous donations, even if small, you can save 7 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza filled with love, peace, and hope.

With my warmest regards from the city of Gaza,

Heba Al-Dahdouh.
