I think it's about time that I announced the winners from my latest giveaways, don't you agree? So without further ado, here they are:
Please email me with your address info so we can send you the prizes.
I also wanted to tell you that I'm taking a few weeks off to spend time with my kiddos, catch some rays, eat icecream and enjoy my city now that it shows itself from its best side. I have some posts scheduled for the coming week, but after that it might become a bit quiet here. I hope you take the opportunity to get off your computers and find something more exciting to do, like counting clouds, sleep or build sand castles. That's what I'm planning to do.
Have a fab summer, and I'll see you back here in a couple of weeks!
Giveaway time! Let's have some fun on Instagram with
Arte Limited, an online gallery for photography and illustrations,
working closely with their artists to produce the highest quality of fine art prints. They represent both established artists that you already know and new interesting names that are on the way forward.
To enter the competition, snap a photo of the space where you would like to hang one of their artworks, upload it on Instagram, write which print you would want there, and tag the picture with #artelimited. Three winners will be chosen by Arte Limited in one weeks time, July 9.
I was looking through the images on their site the other day, in search for something to hang on the wall in my
three years old daughter's room. I found quite a few suitable prints, with illustrations cool enough for adults and at the same time interesting for children. But then I saw the one. You know, the perfect one. It's the big print in the collage below, with the horned girl. Not only is it nice to look at and has plenty of attitude, but it when I read the name of the illustration I just knew it had to be this one. You see, my daughter recently invented an invisible friend, and this friend's name is Arietta. I've never heard this name before, and I don't know where she got it from. Can you believe the name of the print is
Ariete?! It just has to be my daughter's pretend friend in the picture, don't you think?
I saw some small pictures of this house in Southern Sweden yesterday on
Lotta Agaton's blog, and thought it looked fantastic, but unfortunately the pics were too small to show here, and I was too tired to think of looking in
Lotta's portfolio to see if they were to find there in a bigger size. Today my brain is working properly again, and the pictures were indeed uploaded to
Agent Bauer's site, so I'm very happy to be able to give you this overdose of inspiration now!
I don't know how much of the interiors that are Lotta's work, they do look very much like her style and I recognize quite a few items from her shop. Or perhaps the owner of the house just shares her taste. Whichever the case, this is an amazing home dripping with inspiration in every corner. The balance between classic Swedish country style, design classics and a few more edgy accessories makes for a very relaxed and comfortable space with a modern feel.
My eyes were caught by the black wall with the white paint drips coming down from the ceiling, and I think this will be recreated in the kids room in my own home. I want to make a blackboard wall above a long work table in there, but felt that blackboard paint was kind of "done", we've seen it everywhere in the last few years. With the addition of the white paint though, this feels fresh and cool.
