Bolia 2015 collection + new webshop

Bolia is one of those Danish brands that always make great lookbooks and inspiration images, and they just launched the new 2015 collection and a brand new webshop, open for everyone in the EU.

I chose some favorites from the new lookbook, but you can browse it online here to see everything. It seems we are still moving around in a mostly gray landscape full of pastels and light wood, but one piece that instantly stood out to me is the Eclipse table below, with linoleum surfaces in brass, black and a beautiful moon pattern. The sofa above is also very tempting...

Georg by Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm, now in black

Nobody can have missed last year's big hit from Trip Trap, the Georg furniture series by designer Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm. It was launched at DesignTrade, and at this year's fair a sweet update was presented; the whole series now comes in my favorite color, black! I believe the wall mirrors are a new addition as well, completing the range in a nice way.

Ilse Crawford at The Apartment

I discovered this exhibition through Instagram, and instantly fell in love with the small sneak peeks shown there. Unfortunately I don't think I'll have the chance to go and see it irl, but if you are anywhere near Copenhagen, you don't want to miss Ilse Crawford's collab with The Apartment!

"Studioilse has redesigned the interiors of The Apartment to reflect Ilse Crawford’s design philosophy centered around human life and behaviour. Studioilse has gained international renown for creating interiors that are about life rather than objects, exploring how a space becomes a home.

With The Residency, Studioilse has created a homely space where design is experienced rather than exhibited, and where guests can enjoy an informal atmosphere, kitchen suppers and lively discussions. Local eatery Atelier September hosts a restaurant at The Residency kitchen every Thursday and Friday night with a menu that changes daily."

White everything + Green plants = Fresh

Just let me know when I can move in and I'll start packing immediately! You can leave most of the furniture too. Those were my first thoughts when I saw this apartment for sale through Fantastic Frank. I love that the architecture is so simplified that one can't really tell the age of the building. And those white wooden floors get me every time. Throw some big windows, high ceilings and a terrace into the mix and I'm sold.

KOTO scented candle by Skandinavisk and Design Bloggers United

I've got some cool news for you! We, as in Design Bloggers United, are launching a scented candle in collaboration with Skandinavisk!

I am crazy about scented candles myself, the high quality kind that is, and I can already say that this one with a soft scent of amber, jasmine and vanilla will be a future favorite. We wanted to make a homey, welcoming scent, something that could represent our interests in homes and interiors, and chose a name to match. KOTO means home in Finnish.
This is how we like to describe our candle: A cosy refuge from the long dark Finnish winters, a seductress of scarce natural light, an intimate space to refresh the soul.

On a less poetic note, some basic facts: it's a big one, with four wicks and a burn time of 75 hours, and it will retail for around €60. Made from a mix of perfume, natural and mineral wax with wicks of 100% cotton, then poured into hand-blown glass.

KOTO will be presented next week at the Formex fair and is soon available in stores all over Europe, but you can already pre-order from Skandinavisk's own webshop.
