At first i thought this movie wouldn't be that good since personally I can't stand Woody Allen's movies. I was happy that this movie was not bad, in fact it was great! This romantic but yet surrealistic movie captures the viewers eye not only because of the scene of Paris but also by how relatable some of the characters can be. Gill, the main character who is supposed to get married, doesn't seem to fit in his fiancés family. Nevertheless he finds something truly majestic inside the cozy streets of Paris.
The most important shot in the first 30 Minutes of M is the one of Elsie walking down the street. The Lateral Tracking shot stays with Elsie as other people are coming in and out of the frame. It later pans and focuses on a sign saying there is a child molestor, then a silhouette appears on the sign masking part of the message and the shot ends. I think the shot tells us that there is always someone watching you even though you may be in a crowd
