Heat 1995
as i expected from reading other reviews here, it's the ultimate dude movie. it's "intelligent" and "gritty" and is single-mindedly focused on the favorite dude motif: having to abandon your woman as a certain act of sacrifice. however, i found it lacking every aspect that i personally enjoy in movies...
the last thing i've seen that's similar was hard boiled, and i would 100% recommend it over heat
