    Almost lost my shit when Elliott Smith’s Twilight started playing! Beyond that… this fucking rocked. I left the theater feeling moved to be a better person/community member + to fight back against complacency, which is one of the most powerful things a piece of art can do?! I’ve been kind of shocked to see that people are lukewarm on this, or feeling like it’s bloated or over-the-top. I think the humor, absurdity, and playfulness made the message more powerful - without that, I wouldn’t have connected with the film as deeply, and it would have felt too flat/self-serious/on the nose.

    Was totally engrossed (and often grossed out) while watching this. That grossed-out feeling has steadily grown since I left the theater. I think I get what this film was trying to do––it's an accelerated, exaggerated coming-of-age story about a woman claiming her own power.
