“Hey Max... a guy gets on the MTA here in L.A. and dies... Think anybody will notice?”

One of the most exhilarating and suspenseful action films of all time boosted by the legendary direction of Michael Mann and his portrayal of the dark side of LA, which has never looked as good as in this movie. The nightclub scene will always be the unforgettable moment of this film, and whilst the action is not non-stop like other films mirroring this…

One of my favorite films of all time. There was non-stop thrill and suspense throughout the film navigating through the storyline and delving into Lou Bloom's sociophatic character.

Jake Gyllenhaal's performance was transcendent as he really represented the multiple characteristics of Lou Bloom's personality from his psychotic side to his more arrogant yet ambitious side, and did so humorously too at times. The mirror destruction scene perfectly showcased Lou Bloom's descent into insanity and he's one of the greatest anti-villains…

Honestly don’t have too much to say about this one because I feel like a complete clown for not rating it initially, one of the best films I’ve ever seen with one of the most heartbreaking endings of all time.

One of the best films of all time and for me the pinnacle of the mystery genre, even surpassing classics such as Se7en amongst others. You can see the vast impact of this film with one of Fincher’s best films Zodiac mirroring this in many ways just a few years later. The last shot was everything, and really showed the effects of the devastating and endless pursuit which occurred throughout the entire film.

I’m genuinely speechless. I left the cinema around 5 hours ago and I’m still in disbelief at what I witnessed and don’t really know what to say about it, seeing it in IMAX was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. I’ll certainly be rewatching soon because I don’t want to be a prisoner of the moment in terms of where I rank this, but it could potentially be top 5 films I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been so…

Funnily enough, this was actually my favourite film of all time for many years before I joined this app and I was long overdue a rewatch. This had the blockbuster action you'd expect from movies in this vain along with being a provocative crime thriller.

The score and the extreme darkness of the film throughout were fitting given the breakdown of the ferocious criminal underworld this ended up being. Right from the offset, the opening scene set the tone for…
