The White Gorilla 1945
Repurposed silent film material in a wraparound narrated by Ray "Crash" Corrigan. To some extent I'm captivating by the process of making the old footage into a new story, but in general these patch-ups are never very satisfying. I'll give it one thing, there is a lot of gorilla-suit action. I used to have to stay up ungodly late to catch something this disappointing on TV, but now I can watch it any time with the push of a button on YouTube. What a time, etc.

The Bad Guys 2022
It's easy to sneer at the kind of kid's movie that's loaded with jokes and references for the grown-ups in the audience, mostly because that seems to be the default mode for family films now.
