1) I am a hugggeee fan of the horror genre and this might be my new all time favorite horror movie. The twist ending was very unexpected in the way it played out and I just think it was brilliant the way the illness played out.

Clash in meaning part two:
Eisenstein mashes scenes together to make suspense and more chaos. With the baby falling scene, it goes from the women falling, to the baby about to fall, and then to a soldier swinging. It creates moods from anger of the woman getting shot when she was protecting her baby. Fear that the baby is about to fall and intensity when the soldier's are fighting. Eisenstein's purpose in all of this is to get you to really truly feel the chaos and how it's happening all over and not just in one place.
One of the parts of the plots that were conventional was the characters, because you have the son who has issues, the mother who is so worried about the son can't help, but unknowingly encourage his bad habits. Then, you have the father who doesn't know how to deal with the son and is too proud to admit that he just wants to spend time with him, he feels and acts more angry than anything and just keeps pushing him.…
Discontinuity part 1:
In the scene where the soldiers are killing other innocent soldiers at the stairs, Eisenstein uses discontinuity to show chaos. It would make sense that he does this because Russia is in chaos with the war going on.
