  Was able to see this in theaters for the first time. There’s so much about this movie that shouldn’t work. In another timeline close to this one, I absolutely hate this movie. It’s a millennial’s wet dream; a movie full of “random comedy”, “quirkiness” and even a Ratatouille reference. But by some miracle, each risk lands with such charm. Credit goes to the Daniels.   Very witty conceptually in all the best ways, hitting on common emotional and mental symbols without beating us over the head with cliches; expounding on relatable feelings and experiences with smart commentary. The biggest strength of this movie is the It’s a Wonderful Life -esque feeling I felt in it's resolution: a sense gratitude for life, the highs and the lows.
