Take Out 2004
Unbelievable that they made a film this good on a supposed $3000 budget. I'm not sure I believe that was the actual budget unless every actor was volunteering their time.
This could easily be a 5 star film but in my opinion it's missing two things. A soundtrack and someway of knowing how much money he needs as the film progresses. He needs $800 and then gets $500 from the woman at the sweatshop? Then he's slowly getting a few…

Salesman 1969
First off, when Badger goes on a rant for like 5 minutes about how stupid it is when streets change names in the middle of them, I felt that.
Another very funny thing that requires some background. These guys go on a sales trip to Opa-locka, Florida which apparently was designed with a bunch of Moorish Revival architecture. Badger sees this and tells the other guys "I was in the Muslim quarter" lmao.
This is a hangout documentary. Just salesmen…

Infernal Affairs 2002
There are some questionable editing choices but I don't care.
Funny thing I noticed on this watch: Superintendent Wong walks into a room, closes the door, lights a cigarette, then says "It's stuffy in here. Open a window." or something like that.

Frenzy 1972
Solid Hitchcock on-the-run formula. The male leads are both pretty good. The graphic rape and murder is pretty jarring and I'm surprised it made it through UK censors at the time. The scale of this is subdued compared to Torn Curtain and Topaz, not that that is a bad thing. This is really the only Hitch worth watching after The Birds.
Side note: Why did the detective's wife keep serving him all of the bad food? I didn't get it.
