  set in the beautiful, gorgeous, unparalleled city of fremont (featuring mission san jose high school) and captured the feeling of coming out of middle school in fremont super dee dooper well. really interesting explorations of the various facets of shame. I felt it was a bit unfocused with all the different arcs and I wished better for the mother in the end who was, I think, supposed to be the main relationship arc.
