    Action scenes are in fact very peak and this is why you’d watch it. And highly recommend watching purely for them as they are fun!

    But story wise it’s kinda thin and neither our heroine or her father feel interesting enough to care about. They’re acting is fine it’s just they had nothing to really do lol

    Still a banger just not as good as the first! And it definitely suffers from “made for 3D” syndrome with all the (bad) CGI weapons and effects going at the screen. It also suffers from “this is a prequel/origin story” vibes that make it so we have to do a lot more setup than usual.

    I’m sorry this was actually so good and most of the hate for it is just because it isn’t a carbon copy of G1. It’s a reboot babes! They’re gonna change things! And the series overall is better for it! Kids will eat this movie up. And yes the movie had a tiny budget for a made for TV movie... dragging the makeup/special effects is weak. (And both look great!) 

    My biggest complaints are we needed like ONE more song…
