A decent political thriller, with great performances by Frances McDormand and Brian Cox. The ending was rather abrupt and not particularly satisfying, but I guess that’s a slice of real life.

A political, religious thriller about an unwilling spy who is tasked with infiltrating an extremist cell. The film looks good and has plenty of twists and turns to keep you engaged, but it’s a tad long and was a bit of a slog at times.

My life is very ordinary, very boring. Which is good, because it's solid.

A career thief looking to get out of the business agrees to take on one last big job, but we all know how these plans turn out.

Thief is a fantastic directorial debut feature. It’s a stylish, slow-burn neo-noir featuring an excellent performance by Caan, and great cinematography and screenplay. Neon lights and rainy streets make for some great shots.

The score was a bit too much in places and the cops were a bit too cartoonish, but they’re only minor gripes.

Poor Things is a gorgeous looking film featuring stunning cinematography and set and costume designs. Great performances by all and the script was brilliant. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I was expecting and it was a bit longer than it needed to be, but I’ll definitely give it a rewatch.
