I think itās incredibly important here to not overlook the fact that she is a Black woman. Transphobia, racism, and sexism overlap significantly because of the incredibly eurocentric beauty standards women are judged on.
All life and hope have been sucked from me. Look how pretty my sister used to look for Eid. Now she is tired, sad, scared, and I donāt know for how long Iāll be able to feed her and the rest of my family of ten.

The crossing through which food enters has been closed for more than 30 days. We have nothing to eat, and even if we do, the prices are exorbitant. Some of the prices listed are:

1 chicken = $70

1 bag of flour = $200
1 kg of cooking gas = $150
1 kg of sugar = $15
1 kg of eggplant = $20
1 kg of tomatoes = $10
1 kg of onions = $25
