Part 1: Feedback Format

The format I used was a google survey. I chose this format because
it is easy to navigate and responses are quick and easy. I also chose it
because the program saves all of the responses for you in one place
making life more simple.

Part 2: Feedback Participants

I gathered information from Paige, Beth, and Becca. I chose these

specific people to respond to my project because they each have
experience in working with children in a school setting. All of their
feedback was positive and helpful. They agreed with all of my solutions
but added their own additions to them. One response I received mentioned
that I needed to explain what getting to know students better actually
means. Another response suggested that I come up with specific trainings
that teachers could take in order to better their understanding of how to
aid in healthy child development. Lastly, one participant pointed out that I
need to give a brief explanation of the developmental milestones that I
mention in my solution.

Part 3: What did you learn from the responses?

Although I received short responses, I surprisingly learned a lot

from them. The first thing I learned is that I need to provide more
explanations when talking about my three solutions. All of my solutions
are short and should be expanded more in order for the reader to get a
better grasp on how the solutions are supposed to help with the problem. I
will remember this next time I have to present solutions to a problem in
my future schooling and career.

From my three responders, I also learned that the solutions I came

up with are not too extreme. They are doable which is important when it
comes to coming up with solutions. If a solution is too hard to implement,
then it can not work. I am glad that I was able to present helpful solutions
to the issue of child development in schools. I will keep this in mind when
it comes time for me to come up with solutions to an issue whether it be
for a school project, my future career, or a conflict in my community.
Part 4: How can you improve your solution?

The first way I can improve my solution is by providing

deeper explanations of what my solutions actually mean. For
getting to know the students section of my solution, I need to talk
about what this means. It goes much deeper than just asking them
what their favorite color is. Getting to know students means
learning about their home life, culture, and learning styles. This
allows for more trust between the teacher and student plus gives
way to a better chance of achievement when the teacher knows
what works for specific children and their learning styles.

The second improvement I can make for my solution is

providing a list of trainings for teachers to take that can help them
encourage healthy developments within their classrooms. I found a
great website that provides numerous great trainings for teachers
to take. The website is https://www.cceionline.com/course-
category/child-care-development-and-learning-training-courses/.
This website is an easy way for educators to gain knowledge on
different aspects of child development.

● Part 5: Final Thoughts

This unit was by far my favorite unit. I enjoyed having more freedom to
talk about what I want to talk about and explore topics that interest me. I learned
how to make an online mind map which could come in handy for the next time I
have to come up with ideas for a project! I also learned that using short clips
instead of words can be effective in getting a message across. The coolest
element in this unit that I learned was how to link slides into a presentation. This
could help me when I am a teacher and need to come up with a fun activity such
as the adventure protocol that we were required to create.

Before this unit, I had never had to create a survey or even known how to
make one online. I now know how easy it is to throw together a survey on
programs such as google survey. I could see myself using this new skill in my
future classroom. I could create my own course evaluation to see how students
are liking my class. I could even create a survey to find out which sections of my
lesson plans my students are most struggling with. Overall this unit was fun for
me to complete and I learned so many new skills that I will be able to use in the
future.
