 I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I
realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of
Decree), what should I supplicate in
it?" He (‫ )ﷺ‬replied, "You should
supplicate:

Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun,

tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (O Allah,
You are Most Forgiving, and You love
forgiveness; so forgive me)."
[At-Tirmidhi].

‫اﻟﻠﮭﻢ إﻧﻚ ﻋﻔﻮ ﺗﺤﺐ اﻟﻌﻔﻮ ﻓﺎﻋﻒُ ﻋﻨﻲ‬

For
Forgiveness
 Whoever says, 'La illaha illallah, wah-dahu la
sharika lah, Lahul-mulku wa lahul hamd, wa
huwa 'ala Kul-li shayin Qadeer.' (There is no god
but Allah, alone, without any partner. The
Kingdom and praise belong to Him and He has
power over everything.)

100 times a day, will have a recompense equal to

that of freeing ten slaves. Also, 100 good actions
are written for him, 100 wrong actions are erased
from him, and it is a protection from Satan for
that day until the night. No one does anything
ُ‫ﻚ َوﻟَﮫ‬
ُ ‫ ﻟَﮫُ ا ْﻟ ُﻤ ْﻠ‬،ُ‫ﻚ ﻟَﮫ‬
َ ‫َﻻ إِﻟَﮫَ إ ﱠِﻻ ﷲُ َو َﺣ ْﺪهُ َﻻ َﺷﺮِﯾ‬ more excellent than someone who does more
‫ َوھُ َﻮ َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻛ ﱢﻞ ﺷَﻲْ ءٍ ﻗَﺪِﯾ ٌﺮ‬، ُ‫ا ْﻟ َﺤ ْﻤ ُﺪ ﯾُﺤْ ﯿِﻲ َوﯾُﻤِﯿﺖ‬ than that." (Bukhari & Muslim)

For
Forgiveness
 "Our Lord, do not hold us accountable, if we forget or make a
mistake and, Our Lord, do not place on us a burden such as
You have placed on those before us. And our Lord, do not
make us bear that for which we have no strength. And pardon
us. And grant us forgiveness. And have mercy on us. You are
our Lord. Help us, then, against the disbelieving people."

Amanar-rasulu bima unzila ilayhi min rabbihi wal-muminun

Kullun amana billahi wa mala ikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulih
La nufarriqu bayna ahadin min rusulih Wa qalu sami’na wa
‫ءَاﻣَﻦَ ٱﻟ ﱠﺮﺳُﻮ ُل ﺑِ َﻤﺎٓ أُﻧ ِﺰ َل إِﻟَ ْﯿ ِﮫ ﻣِﻦ ﱠرﺑﱢﮫِۦ وَٱ ْﻟﻤُﺆْ ِﻣﻨُﻮنَ ۚ ُﻛ ﱞﻞ‬ a-ta’na ghufranaka rabbana wa ilaykal masir La yukallifullahu
‫ق ﺑَﯿْﻦَ أَ َﺣ ٍﺪ‬ ُ ‫ءَاﻣَﻦَ ﺑِﭑ ﱠ ِ َو َﻣ ٰﻠَٓﺌِ َﻜﺘِﮫِۦ َو ُﻛﺘُﺒِﮫِۦ َو ُر ُﺳﻠِﮫِۦ َﻻ ﻧُﻔَﺮﱢ‬ nafsan illa wus’aha Laha ma kasabat wa alayha maktasabat
‫ﻚ‬ َ ‫ﻚ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َوإِﻟَ ْﯿ‬َ َ‫ﻣﱢﻦ رﱡ ُﺳﻠِﮫِۦ ۚ َوﻗَﺎﻟُﻮا۟ َﺳ ِﻤ ْﻌﻨَﺎ َوأَطَ ْﻌﻨَﺎ ۖ ُﻏ ْﻔﺮَاﻧ‬ Rabbana la tu akhidhna in nasina au akhta’na Rabbana wa la
tahmil alayna isran kama Hamaltahu alalladhina min qablina
ْ‫ َﻻ ﯾُ َﻜﻠﱢﻒُ ٱ ﱠ ُ ﻧَ ْﻔﺴًﺎ إ ﱠِﻻ ُو ْﺳ َﻌﮭَﺎ ۚ ﻟَﮭَﺎ ﻣَﺎ َﻛ َﺴﺒَﺖ‬.ُ‫ٱ ْﻟﻤَﺼِ ﯿﺮ‬ Rabbana wa la tuhammilna ma la taqata lanabih Wa’fu anna,
ۚ ‫َو َﻋﻠَ ْﯿﮭَﺎ ﻣَﺎ ٱ ْﻛﺘَ َﺴﺒَﺖْ ۗ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َﻻ ﺗُﺆَاﺧِ ْﺬﻧَﺎٓ إِن ﻧﱠﺴِ ﯿﻨَﺎٓ أَوْ أَﺧْ ﻄَﺄْﻧَﺎ‬ waghfir lana, warhamna Anta maulana fansurna
alal-qaumil-kafirin
‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ و ََﻻ ﺗَﺤْ ﻤِﻞْ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿﻨَﺎٓ إِﺻْ ﺮًا َﻛﻤَﺎ َﺣ َﻤ ْﻠﺘَﮫُۥ َﻋﻠَﻰ ٱﻟﱠﺬِﯾﻦَ ﻣِﻦ‬
‫ﻗَ ْﺒﻠِﻨَﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ و ََﻻ ﺗُ َﺤ ﱢﻤ ْﻠﻨَﺎ ﻣَﺎ َﻻ طَﺎﻗَﺔَ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﺑِﮫِۦ ۖ وَٱﻋْﻒُ َﻋﻨﱠﺎ‬
ِ‫وَٱ ْﻏﻔِﺮْ ﻟَﻨَﺎ وَٱرْ َﺣ ْﻤﻨَﺎٓ ۚ أَﻧﺖَ ﻣَﻮْ ﻟَ ٰ ﻨَﺎ ﻓَﭑﻧﺼُﺮْ ﻧَﺎ َﻋﻠَﻰ ٱ ْﻟﻘَﻮْ م‬
For Easier
َ‫ٱﻟْﻜٰ َ ﻔِﺮِﯾﻦ‬ Tests & Mercy
 Allahumma ahdina fiman hadait, wa ‘afina fiman ‘afait, wa
tawallana fiman tawallait, wa barik lana fima a’tait, wa qina
wasrif ‘anna sharra ma qadait, fainnak taqdi wa la yuqda ‘alaik.
Innahu la yadhillu man walait wa la ya’izzu man ‘aadait ,
tabarakta Rabbana wa ta’alait, laka shukru ‘ala ma a’tait,
nas-taghfiruka. Allahumma min jamee’i dhunubi wal khataaya,
wa natubu ilaik.

O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided.

Grant me safety among those whom You have granted safety.
Take me into Your charge among those whom You have taken
into Your charge. Bless me in what You have given me. Protect
me from the evil that You have decreed, for You decree and
‫ وﻋﺎ ﻓﻨﻲ ﻓﯿﻤﻦ ﻋﺎ‬،‫اﻟﻠﮭﻢ اھﺪﻧﻲ ﻓﯿﻤﻦ ھﺪﯾﺖ‬ nothing is decreed for You. And there is no humiliation for
whom You take as a ward. Blessed and exalted are You, our
‫ وﺑﺎرك ﻟﻲ ﻓﯿﻤﺎ‬،‫ و ﺗﻮﻟﻨﻲ ﻓﯿﻤﻦ ﺗﻮﻟﯿﺖ‬،‫ﻓﯿﺖ‬ Lord.

‫ ﻓﺈﻧﻚ ﺗﻘﻀﻲ وﻻ‬،‫ وﻗﻨﻲ ﺷﺮ ﻣﺎ ﻗﻀﯿﺖ‬،‫أﻋﻄﯿﺖ‬

‫ ﺗﺒﺎرﻛﺖ‬،‫ وإﻧﮫ ﻻ ﯾﺬل ﻣﻦ واﻟﯿﺖ‬،‫ﯾﻘﻀﻰ ﻋﻠﯿﻚ‬
‫رﺑﻨﺎ وﺗﻌﺎﻟﯿﺖ‬ For Guidance
& Protection
Our Lord! Accept (this service)
from us: For Thou art the
All-Hearing, the All-knowing
[2:127]

Rabbana taqabbal minna

innaka antas Sameeaul Aleem

‫ﻚ أَﻧْﺖَ اﻟ ﱠﺴﻤِﯿ ُﻊ اﻟ َﻌﻠِﯿ ُﻢ‬

َ ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ﺗَﻘَﺒﱠﻞْ ِﻣﻨﱠﺎ إِﻧﱠ‬

For any Dua to

be Answered
Our Lord! Grant us good in this
world and good in the
hereafter, and save us from the
chastisement of the fire [2:201]

Rabbana atina fid-dunya

hasanatan wa fil 'akhirati
hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar

ً‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ آﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻓِﻲ اﻟ ﱡﺪ ْﻧﯿَﺎ َﺣ َﺴﻨَﺔً َوﻓِﻲ اﻵﺧِ َﺮ ِة َﺣ َﺴﻨَﺔ‬

‫َوﻗِﻨَﺎ َﻋﺬَابَ اﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِر‬

For Goodness
in both worlds
Our Lord! (they say), Let not
our hearts deviate now after
Thou hast guided us, but grant
us mercy from Thine own
Presence; for Thou art the
Grantor of bounties without
measure [3:8]

Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana

ba'da idh hadaitana wa hab lana
milladunka rahmah innaka
antal Wahhab

‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ﻻَ ﺗُ ِﺰ ْغ ﻗُﻠُﻮﺑَﻨَﺎ ﺑَ ْﻌ َﺪ إِ ْذ ھَ َﺪ ْﯾﺘَﻨَﺎ َوھَﺐْ ﻟَﻨَﺎ‬

ُ‫ﻚ أَﻧﺖَ ا ْﻟ َﻮھﱠﺎب‬ َ ‫ﻚ رَﺣْ َﻤﺔً إِﻧﱠ‬ َ ‫ﻣِﻦ ﻟﱠﺪُﻧ‬
For Steadfast
Hearts
Our Lord! We believe in what
Thou hast revealed, and we
follow the Messenger. Then
write us down among those
who bear witness [3:53]

Rabbana amanna bima anzalta

wattaba 'nar-Rusula fak-tubna
ma'ash-Shahideen

‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎٓ ءَا َﻣﻨﱠﺎ ﺑِ َﻤﺎٓ أَﻧ َﺰﻟْﺖَ وَٱﺗﱠﺒَ ْﻌﻨَﺎ ٱﻟ ﱠﺮﺳُﻮ َل ﻓَﭑ ْﻛﺘُ ْﺒﻨَﺎ‬
َ‫َﻣ َﻊ ٱﻟ ّٰ َﺸ ِﮭﺪِﯾﻦ‬

For Testifying to
His oneness
Our Lord! We have wronged
our own souls: If thou forgive
us not and bestow not upon us
Thy Mercy, we shall certainly
be lost [7:23]

Rabbana zalamna anfusina wa il

lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna
lana kunan minal-khasireen

‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ظَﻠَ ْﻤﻨَﺎ أَﻧﻔُ َﺴﻨَﺎ َوإِن ﻟﱠ ْﻢ ﺗَ ْﻐﻔِﺮْ ﻟَﻨَﺎ َوﺗَﺮْ َﺣ ْﻤﻨَﺎ‬
َ‫ﻟَﻨَﻜُﻮﻧَﻦﱠ ﻣِﻦَ ا ْﻟﺨَﺎﺳِ ﺮِﯾﻦ‬

For
Forgiveness
Our Lord! Pour out on us
patience and constancy, and
take our souls unto thee as
Muslims (who bow to thy will)
[7:126]

Rabbana afrigh 'alaina sabraw

wa tawaffana Muslimeen

َ‫ﺻ ْﺒﺮًا َوﺗَ َﻮﻓﱠﻨَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺴﻠِﻤِﯿﻦ‬

َ ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ أَ ْﻓ ِﺮ ْغ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿﻨَﺎ‬

For Patience
O our Lord! Truly Thou dost
know what we conceal and
what we reveal: for nothing
whatever is hidden from Allah,
whether on earth or in heaven
[14:38]

Rabbana innaka ta'lamu ma

nukhfi wa ma nu'lin wa ma
yakhfa 'alal-lahi min shai'in
fil-ardi wa la fis-Sama'

‫ﻚ ﺗَ ْﻌﻠَ ُﻢ ﻣَﺎ ﻧُﺨْ ﻔِﻲ َوﻣَﺎ ﻧُ ْﻌﻠِﻦُ َوﻣَﺎ ﯾَﺨْ ﻔَﻰ‬

َ ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ إِﻧﱠ‬
‫ض َوﻻَ ﻓِﻲ‬ ِ ْ‫ﷲِ ﻣِﻦ ﺷَﻲْ ءٍ ﻓَﻲ اﻷَر‬ ّ ‫َﻋﻠَﻰ‬
‫اﻟ ﱠﺴﻤَﺎء‬
For
Forgiveness
O our Lord! Cover (us) with
Thy Forgiveness - me, my
parents, and (all) Believers, on
the Day that the Reckoning will
be established! [14:41]

Rabbana ghfir li wa li
wallidayya wa lil Mu'mineena
yawma yaqumul hisaab

‫ي َوﻟِ ْﻠﻤُﺆْ ِﻣﻨِﯿﻦَ ﯾَﻮْ َم ﯾَﻘُﻮ ُم‬

‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ا ْﻏﻔِﺮْ ﻟِﻲ َوﻟِﻮَاﻟِ َﺪ ﱠ‬
ُ‫اﻟْﺤِ ﺴَﺎب‬

For Parent’s
Forgiveness
O my Lord! Grant unto us
spouses and offspring who will
be the comfort of our eyes, and
give us (the grace) to lead the
righteous [25:74]

Rabbana Hablana min

azwaajina wadhurriy-yatina,
qurrata 'ayioni wa-jalna
lil-muttaqeena Imaama

ٍ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ھَﺐْ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦْ أَزْ وَاﺟِ ﻨَﺎ َوذُرﱢ ﯾﱠﺎﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻗُ ﱠﺮةَ أَ ْﻋﯿُﻦ‬
‫وَاﺟْ َﻌ ْﻠﻨَﺎ ﻟِ ْﻠ ُﻤﺘﱠﻘِﯿﻦَ إِﻣَﺎﻣًﺎ‬

For Good
Marriages &
Children
Our Lord! In Thee do we trust,
and to Thee do we turn in
repentance: to Thee is (our)
Final Goal [60:4]

Rabbana 'alaika tawakkalna

wa-ilaika anabna wa-ilaikal
masir

‫ﻚ ا ْﻟﻤَﺼِ ﯿ ُﺮ‬
َ ‫ﻚ أَﻧَ ْﺒﻨَﺎ َوإِﻟَ ْﯿ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﺗَ َﻮ ﱠﻛ ْﻠﻨَﺎ َوإِﻟَ ْﯿ‬
َ ‫ﱠرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ‬

For Strength
 Allahumma ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya
kama ba'adta baynal-mashriqi wal-maghribi,
Allahumma naqqini min khatayaya kama
yunaqqath-thawbul-'abyadu minad-danasi,
Allahum-maghsilni min khatayaya, bith-thalji
walma'i walbarad.

O Allah , separate me from my sins as You have

separated the East from the West. O Allah,
cleanse me of my transgressions as the white
" َ‫ي َﻛﻤَﺎ ﺑَﺎ َﻋﺪْتَ ﺑَﯿْﻦ‬ َ ‫اﻟﻠﱠﮭُ ﱠﻢ ﺑَﺎ ِﻋ ْﺪ ﺑَ ْﯿﻨِﻲ َوﺑَﯿْﻦَ َﺧﻄَﺎﯾَﺎ‬ garment is cleansed of stains . O Allah , wash
‫ َﻛﻤَﺎ‬،َ‫ اﻟﻠﱠﮭُ ﱠﻢ ﻧَﻘﱢﻨِﻲ ﻣِﻦْ َﺧﻄَﺎﯾَﺎي‬،ِ‫ق وَا ْﻟ َﻤ ْﻐ ِﺮب‬ ِ ‫ا ْﻟ َﻤ ْﺸ ِﺮ‬ away my sins with ice and water and frost.
‫ اﻟﻠﱠﮭُ ﱠﻢ اﻏْﺴِ ْﻠﻨِﻲ‬،ِ‫ﯾُﻨَﻘﱠﻰ اﻟﺜﱠﻮْ بُ ْاﻷَ ْﺑﯿَﺾُ ﻣِﻦَ اﻟ ﱠﺪﻧَﺲ‬
‫ﺞ وّا ْﻟﻤَﺎءِ وَا ْﻟﺒَ َﺮ ِد‬
ِ ‫ي ﺑِﺎﻟﺜﱠ ْﻠ‬
َ ‫ﻣِﻦْ َﺧﻄَﺎﯾَﺎ‬
For
Forgiveness
Allahumm-aslih li diniyalladhi huwa 'ismatu amri, wa
aslih li dunyaya-llati fiha ma'ashi, wa aslih li
akhirati-llati fiha ma'adi, waj'alil-hayata ziyadatan li fi
kulli khair, waj'alil-mauta rahatan li min kulli sharrin

O Allah, make my religion easy for me by virtue of

which my affairs are protected, set right for me my
world where my life exists, make good for me my
Hereafter which is my resort to which I have to return,
and make my life prone to perform all types of good,
and make death a comfort for me from every evil.

‫ وأﺻﻠﺢ ﻟﻲ دﻧﯿﺎي اﻟﺘﻲ ﻓﯿﮭﺎ‬،‫اﻟﻠﮭﻢ أﺻﻠﺢ ﻟﻲ دﯾﻨﻲ اﻟﺬي ھﻮ ﻋﺼﻤﺔ أﻣﺮي‬

‫ واﺟﻌﻞ اﻟﺤﯿﺎة زﯾﺎدة ﻟﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻛﻞ‬،‫ وأﺻﻠﺢ ﻟﻲ آﺧﺮﺗﻲ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻓﯿﮭﺎ ﻣﻌﺎدي‬،‫ﻣﻌﺎﺷﻲ‬
‫ واﺟﻌﻞ اﻟﻤﻮت راﺣﺔ ﻟﻲ ﻣﻦ ﻛﻞ ﺷﺮ‬،‫ﺧﯿﺮ‬

For Ease
‫ وﻣﻦ ﺷﺮ اﻟﻐﻨﻰ واﻟﻔﻘﺮ‬،‫ وﻋﺬاب اﻟﻨﺎر‬،‫اﻟﻠﮭﻢ إﻧﻲ أﻋﻮذ ﺑﻚ ﻣﻦ ﻓﺘﻨﺔ اﻟﻨﺎر‬

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min fitnatin-nari, wa

'adhabin-nari, wa min sharril-ghina wal-faqri

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the trials and the

torment of the Fire and from the evils of wealth and
poverty.

For Protection
again all Evil
 ‫ واﻷھﻮاء‬،‫ واﻷﻋﻤﺎل‬،‫اﻟﻠﮭﻢ إﻧﻲ أﻋﻮذ ﺑﻚ ﻣﻦ ﻣﻨﻜﺮات اﻷﺧﻼق‬

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min munkaratil-akhlaqi,

wal-a'mali, wal- ahwa'i

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable

manners, deeds, and aspirations.

For Better
Manners & Deeds
 ِ ‫َﻻ ﺣَﻮْ َل و ََﻻ ﻗُ ﱠﻮةَ إ ﱠِﻻ ﺑِﺎ‬

Laa ḥawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah

There is no might nor power except with Allah.

For Strength
‫ اﻟﻠﮭﻢ اﺟﻌﻞ‬،‫ واﻟﻌﻤﻞ اﻟﺬي ﯾﺒﻠﻐﻨﻲ ﺣﺒﻚ‬،‫ وﺣﺐ ﻣﻦ ﯾﺤﺒﻚ‬،‫اﻟﻠﮭﻢ إﻧﻲ أﺳﺄﻟﻚ ﺣﺒﻚ‬
‫ وﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﺎء اﻟﺒﺎرد‬،‫ وأھﻠﻲ‬،‫ﺣﺒﻚ أﺣﺐ إﻟﻰ ﻣﻦ ﻧﻔﺴﻲ‬

Allahumma inni as'aluka hubbaka, wa hubba man

yuhibbuka, wal-'amalalladhi yuballighuni hubbaka.
Allahumm-aj'al hubbaka ahabba ilayya min nafsi, wa
ahli, wa minal-ma'il-baridi

O Allah! I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who
love You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your
Love. O Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than
myself, my family and the cold water.
For His Love
 ‫ﯾﺎ ﻣﻘﻠﺐ اﻟﻘﻠﻮب ﺛﺒﺖ ﻗﻠﺒﻲ ﻋﻠﻰ دﯾﻨﻚ‬

Ya muqallibal-qulubi, thabbit
qalbi 'ala dinika

O Controller of the hearts make

my heart steadfast in Your
religion

 ‫ﷲُ أَ ْﻛﺒَ ُﺮ‬
‫ﷲُ َو ﱠ‬
‫ﷲِ َو ا ْﻟ َﺤ ْﻤ ُﺪ ِ ﱠ ِ َو ﻻَ اِﻟﮫَ إِﻻﱠ ﱠ‬
‫ُﺳ ْﺒﺤَﺎنَ ﱠ‬

Subhanallah walhamdulillah wala ila ha

illalah Allahu akbar

"Glory is to Allah, and praise is to Allah,

and there is none worthy of worship but
Allah, and Allah is the Greatest"

"This Dhikr is dearer to me than all that the sun rises upon (i.e. the whole world)"
