Class : 4 UKM Time: 8.10 - 9.10am Topic : MODULE 7 : HELPING OUT Content Standard Main: 2.1 Communicate simple information intelligibly Complementary:1.2 Understand meaning in a variety of familiar contexts Learning Standard Main:2.1.5 Describe people, and objects using suitable statements Complementary:1.2.5 Understand longer supported questions Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to asking and answering questions with guidance. Activities 1.Collect some items from pupils (e.g. pens, notebook, etc.). Use the items to ask Whose… is this? for pupils to answer It’s mine. 2. Directs ppls to SB page 73, ppls guessing what the children are playing. 3. Divide ppls into 2 groups: A and B. Each members in the groups takes turn to exchange their belonging with their friends . 4. Ppls take turns to ask and answer questions in pairs. Then return their belongings to one another. 5. Teacher gets a few pairs of pupils to present the exchange to the class. Reflection / pupils able to achieve learning objectives and given enrichment exercise (s). / pupils not able to achieve learning objectives and given remedial exercise(s). VALLAMBROSA ENGLISH Week : 30 Day: Tuesday Date: 7.11.2023 Class : 4 UKM Time: 8.10 - 9.10am Topic : MODULE 7 : HELPING OUT Content Standard Main:4.3 Communicate with appropriate language form and style for a range of purposes in print and digital media Complementary:3.2 Understand a variety of linear and non-linear print and digital texts by using appropriate reading strategies Standard Main: 4.3.1 Use capital letters, full stops, question marks and commas in lists appropriately in guided writing at discourse level Complementary:3.2.2 Understand specific information and details of simple texts of one or two paragraphs Learning Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling with guidance. Activities 1.Teacher directs ppls attention to Grammar box SB page 73. Read the questions and the answers out loud and have the ppls to repeat. 2. Elicits the pronouns and refer ppls to the Grammar reference. 3. Refer activity 3, read again and answer the questions in pair and check by class. 4. Pupils write the correct answers in notebook and remind pupils to use capital letters and full stops. VALLAMBROSA ENGLISH Week : 30 Day: Wednesday Date: 8.11.2023 Class : 4 UKM Time: 12.00 - 1.00pm Topic : GRAPHIC NOVEL : THE JUNGLE BOOK Content Standard Main: 5.2 Express personal responses to literary texts Complementary:2.1 Communicate simple information intelligibly Learning Standard Main:5.2.1 Say in simple words and phrases how a text makes them feel Complementary:2.1.5 Describe people, and objects using suitable statements Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to to talk and give respond to the picture and situation with guidance. Activities 1.Teacher displays the book cover. Ask pupils to talk about the front and back covers of the book e.g.: the attire, facial expression of the boy and the setting, author, blurb, etc. Elicit pupils’ understanding from the title of the book. 2.Teacher divides pupils to work in groups. Distribute a display sheet and an envelope containing jumbled up body parts of five animals that pupils will come across in the novel (bear, wolf, panther, tiger and snake) 2.In their respective groups, pupils are to arrange and paste the body parts correctly on the display sheet provided. 3.Get pupils to talk about the characteristics of the animals. Have pupils guess the relationships between the animals.
