OBJECTIVE : Complementary: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to answer at least 3 comprehension questions about the story
in the textbook correctly.

1. Pupils shadow read the story in textbook page 16 with the audio 23.

2. Audio can be stopped in between story frames to check comprehension.

3. Pupils are called out randomly for some questions.

4. Pupils complete page 8 in Year 3 Supplementary Worksheet Module.

Post-lesson: Pupils exchange books to check their answers.

Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils in their groups are given a picture from the board. Individually, they must come up with a sentence.
Example: I always brush my teeth.

ACTIVITY : 2. One pupil from each group is called out to write their sentence on the board.

3. Pupils are shown how to change a sentence to He/She and adding the third person -s. Other pupils are called to change
other sentences.

4. Pupils complete page 9 in Year 3 Complementary worksheet Module individually.

OBJECTIVE : Complementary: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to transfer at least 5 information from the table into
statement forms.

Pre-lesson: Pupils are introduced to target languages. Ex: once, twice, three times and every day.

Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils are introduced to ‘Daniel’s daily routine timetable’. Pupils are asked to observe the table.

2. Pupils are asked a few questions and guided to write sentences based on the table. Ex: How often does Daniel go for his
Art class?
ACTIVITY :
3. Pupils are guided to create 5 statements on their own for a True/False game based on the table shown. Pupils create a
quiz in groups.

4. Pupils pass their quiz to the other group and completes the quiz.

Post lesson: Pupils return the quiz to the original group for assessment and pupils get to know their points.
*Pupils are asked to bring colour pencils, coloured papers and pictures of families for the next lesson.

1. Pupils do a recap of the vocabulary that they have learnt before.

2. Pupils play with the ‘Roll and Spell’ mat. They take turns to roll the dice and spell the word. Teachers can also ask the
pupils to write down the words.

3. Pupils are explained about the ball toss game where pupils sit in a big circle and pass the ball while the music is played.
When the music stops, the teacher says a word and pupils spell the word / write the word.
ACTIVITY : Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils are explained about healthy lifestyle and asked about the food that they should eat to be healthy.

2. Pupils are reintroduced to certain question tags and how to answer them.

3. Pupils are explained about the ‘Let’s talk’ game. Each group receives a set of cards and takes turns to pick a card. They
read the card and answer it.

Post-lesson: Pupils are called at random to write down words that the teacher says.

Lesson delivery:

1. Upon completion of the word search, pupils are called out to say out the words in the word search.

2. Pupils are given the g,o,c,k reading comprehension.

3. Pupils read the reading comprehension (M). Pupils read the story comprehension with their friends’ guidance (L).
4. Pupils are guided to read and answer the comprehension.

5. Pupils complete the comprehension questions.

Pre-lesson: Pupils are introduced to conjunctions ‘and, but’.

Lesson delivery:

1. Conjunction slide starts with sample sentences with each conjunction. Pupils are explained about the usage.

2. Pupils are called out at random to fill in the blanks of the given sentences.

3. Pupils play the conjunction puzzle in their groups and write down the sentences they have formed.

4. Pupils complete the conjunction worksheet page 6 in Year 2 Supplementary Worksheets Module (M). Pupils are guided
to complete ¾ of the worksheet.
