I just don’t understand the “not all men” thing.

I truly believe there are some amazing men out there. I believe that somewhere, someone genuinely has good intentions. Every time I say that I believe that it’s 99% of men but not 100% so many people are telling me that I’m faking feminism and I’m “invalidating the victims” and I just don’t understand. I don’t get it. How would that invalidate a victim? Sure, it seems a lot of men are horrible, terrible people, but women aren’t off the hook either. Male sexual assault victims are real and I know one, but they never come forward because they’re kicked into the dust by family or women saying “all men are horrible” or that they’re faking it to ruin a life (not unlike that of a female victim.) The abuser gets off scott free because “oh, I’m sure he enjoyed it because he’s a guy and guys like that kind of thing”

There are definitely less cases of women raping men but even then, why are people getting all pissy when a victim comes forward and calls out a woman?

it goes both ways and that’s not talked about NEARLY enough.

Like, come on, you don't seriously believe every man is a rapist? Why must you assume every man stinks? That is the very basis of segregation and it's pointless on the grounds that it's statistically impossible for everyone to suck.
