if you struggle with reading with your eyes or if you prefer to listen to audiobooks or if you just like listening to texts be read aloud while you read, here are some of the resources* i've used

*my apologies, most of these resources will be primarily relevant to english-speakers.

socialism 4 all youtube channel: this person does some light editorializing on some of the audiobooks but it's mostly just them reading various ML texts very accessibly.

audiobookbay: I haven't used this all that much but my IRL comrades say they've found it useful for more "mainstream" texts

MAM: I've been told this is supposed to be the gold standard of Audiobook Piracy but it requires queuing for an invitation and i haven't gotten around to it yet (ADHD) so ymmv

elevenreader: this is a mobile version of the ElevenLabs AI TTS engine, with a few notable differences. 1) you cannot export files, however, 2) it is absolutely free. You can paste text in or upload text files of various formats (I've had the best experience with .epub's) as well as paste in links to articles and they'll usually be able to read it out relatively naturally with few difficulties and it's usually quite fast to generate. This has been a huge, huge boon for me, especially when reading more obscure texts / texts that definitely do not have "official" audiobooks, as well as reading articles in general. (incidentally, I also use it to check my work when I'm writing medium-form fiction). elevenreader has personally singlehandedly transformed the way I consume theory and nonfiction. I've also been told that this has support for non-english languages as well.

Screen TTS: Most computers have built-in basic TTS functionality to assist people with vision disabilities. I am mildly visual / visual processing disabled but I've found it's very easy to use and quite valuable for me when I'm doing things like checking over a text post I'm making or something. Here's a link to the settings on Macs. Also, if you use a Mac you can link the screenreader to any Siri voice that they have, which imo sounds far more natural and easier to process.

Dyslexia Fonts: I've just yesterday learned about fonts designed for use by people with dyslexia and it has genuinely changed the way I use my computer and phone overnight. It's basically a regular font file you can use anywhere you can use a regular font. There's a private and an open-source version. Obviously the private one can go fuck themselves. Death to intellectual property. Etc. If the open-source version ever stops being supported I'd just suggest pirating the private one although I can't imagine that'll be necessary for the most part.

THEORY IS FOR EVERYONE! THEORY BENEFITS EVERY PROLETARIAN AND ALL OF THE WORKING PEOPLES OF THE WORLD. THEORY CAN BE DIFFICULT TO CHEW ON FOR MANY PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU, LIKE ME, HAVE VARIOUS DEVELOPMENTAL / SENSORY DISABILITIES. However, there are tools to aid us with these things! Go and read!

If you want to local host* AI transcription software (for like reading podcasts or what have you), Whisper AI is relatively easy to use, and I've used the free version of MacWhisper on my computer and it was mind-bogglingly straightforward to set up.

*i.e. run it on your own personal computer, which is to say it only uses as much energy as your computer uses for as long as it runs. which, again, is to say, not very much.
