You really can't say no to Stephen Chow's films. Back to Shanghai not only incorporate the magical realism of his abilities but also brings in a more fantasy/science fiction type plot, when he goes back in time. The humor is everything and I think that this is the perfect movie to end this amazing trilogy. The actors were of course, great and the plot was different. By far my favorite movie out of this series.
A very engaging film that touches on the idea of cyborg technology. The additional touches of humor definitely made the film a worthwhile experience. I liked the character development and the concept of human identity in this film. There were, however, some unrealistic shooting scenes that made me wonder if it was just for comedy. But definitely check this film out! A lot of explicit fight scenes!
Forget about the World Cup when you have this film! It's honestly a classic! The character development in not only the main protagonist but for all of his teammates, coach, and love interest just makes this movie seem so inspirational. It's definitely filled with action but at the same time packed with humor, so you'll either be sitting at the edge of your seat in anticipation or laughing until your stomaches start to ache. It's a wonderful family experience and I definitely recommend watching!
This was a film that I grew up watching over and over again! I was amazed by their choreography in kung fu and as I continue to rewatch the action-packed fight scenes, I am still amazed by their high quality and well thought out plot and choreo. I loved this movie. It was definitely one that fills me with female empowerment as this film focuses on badass female antagonists. It's a whole new experience and I definitely recommend watching!
