From the beginning, we are told that Timothy will die, as well as Timothy himself repeating that bears are dangerous and can kill. Yet his passion for what he does is incredible, understanding he would probably die and continuing to move forward with his ambitions. It was truly unfortunate what happened to him, even if it was a predictable outcome.
This film was very confusing. One thing I noticed was the prevalence of natural objects. We would see frames of the moon, the sun, forests, mountains, and snow. I also noticed the transition from a smaller entity to a larger one. We start off with darkness for around a minute before it transitions to a flame, afterwards, we get to see the moon, an imitation of the sun's light, and then finally we get to see the sun itself.
Throughout the whole film I thought the audio kept repeating “the straw” only to see the synopsis and find out it says “destroy”. I noticed a lot of other people also heard different things and I believe this might have been intentionally placed, to have different people interpret the audio differently.
From what I could see, there were flashes of several moth wings, insects, and leaves shifting onto the screen. Without outside context, I wouldn’t find the film as interesting, but knowing this was created without a camera makes it much more surprising. The film felt pretty chaotic as the shifts in images were fast-paced, flashing each frame onto the screen.
