I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It follows Timothy Treadwell's slow descent into obsession with nature and the grizzly bears. I liked the mostly objective view on the footage with a few exceptions clearly stated as opinion by the narrator. The film provides you with facts, leaving you to decide your stance on what Timothy Treadwell was trying to do. The footage is spectacular and somewhat disturbing. I don't know whether to applaud Treadwell or bash him. Overall, very thought provoking and would definitely recommend.

Prelude: Dog Star Man 1962
I felt like I was either being birthed, kidnapped, or on acid. The entire film is composed of unfocused and superimposed images and short sequences that flash across the screen with no apparent order. Faces, fire, and veins along with many different textures, colors, and other obscure unrelated images. In the second half of the film, there were more stable shots of trees, the sun, and several shots of a nude woman but they would also be accompanied by strobing images. I was extremely confused the entire time and my brain couldn't interpret anything.

Um.......This film gave me a bit of anxiety. In my opinion, it went on for way too long. The robotic repetition of the word "destroy" slowly started morphing into other words and phrases. The flashing images created a sense of unease for me and found myself checking my pulse to make sure the heartbeat I was hearing wasn't my own. This could be my total interpretation of the film, but I couldn't shake the feeling that this was referencing FGM. I'd love to know if there was a true meaning behind the film, but I would not recommend or watch it again.
