My name is Jay. I'm 23, disabled, and my two cats and I really need some support right now. I've started a gofundme with more details, but basically, I've lost everything. We have no heating, no running water, and even the floors here are falling apart.

This morning we lost power. We need to get out now.

The power, which we were using as our only source of heat and light, went out today. It'll cost almost a thousand dollars to get it back in working order, and next month's rent is due soon too. There's no way I can afford to fix it, and honestly, no way I can afford to stay here at all.

My only option now is to move out, and into a rented room with my two cats. The cheapest 30-day stay that can accommodate us will be $775, plus more after that, and an additional $100 to get there and transport the cats and our stuff.

And I'll have to leave a lot of things behind. The cats' beds, litter boxes, and scratchers won't fit in my suitcases, and I'll need replacements once we get there. Most of my clothes and dishes are either worn out or too bulky to bring. And I'll need groceries, toiletries, and cat food to last us until I can find work again.

I have no idea how I'm going to cook without light or power. How I'm going to keep the cats warm without heat. I don't know when I'll be able to charge my phone again. All I have left is asking for help.

I am Kholoud Al-Hanawi From Gaza 🇵🇸, the wife of Dr. Ahmad, a surgeon who risked his life in the war to save others. But today, he stands helpless—unable to save his own children. Our home is gone, reduced to rubble, and now we live in a tattered tent, barely shielding us from the burning sun and freezing nights. We have lost everything… but the worst pain is watching our children suffer.

Our precious babies, Yazan (9 years old) and Zeina (2 years old), are battling a cruel disease—Plaque Ichthyosis Psoriasis 🩸. Their delicate skin cracks, bleeds, and burns every single day. Every movement is agony. Every night is filled with their cries of pain. No child should suffer like this.

I am Najah Al-Hila, married to Khaled Muqdad from Gaza City. I am a mother of four young children. My family consists of Waleed, 9 years old, Mira, 6 years old, Ahmed, and Mayar, 3 years old.

Ahmed suffered from head cramps and increased electricity after his birth. He was given medication and had blood tests done every two months to make sure his health was stable. He suffered from these cramps in 2021. My husband also suffered from liver and digestive system problems five years ago and is still suffering from these problems. Over time, my husband was injured during the war, which made things worse for him. We thank God for everything. Because of the instability and unavailability of the medication, we face difficulties in buying medications due to their high prices. Now life has become very difficult and the prices of medications have increased due to their scarcity. Things have become more difficult due to the lack of money and his expensive treatment, which has led to its unavailability due to money. I hope that all donors and supporters will not forget Ahmed and his father Khaled in alleviating their pain by providing the costs of his treatment and buying him the appropriate medicine and food. Eid in Gaza is crowned with blood.

Children's dreams were not fulfilled.

In their Eid clothes, on their first day, they were expecting joy.

But the Zionist terrorist bombing turned their joy into tragedy.

The occupation made no distinction between children and women.

It showed no mercy for their laughter, and didn't even give them the opportunity to celebrate.

In the face of the world's shameful silence, the massacres and genocide continued.

It was as if Gaza was destined to bleed every Eid.

A mass holocaust was being perpetrated in full view of everyone.

But no one moved; no one stopped this bleeding wound.

The night the ceasefire collapsed, Hossam’s family lost everything again.

On the night of March 17-18, 2025, as airstrikes rained down across Gaza, the Al-Quzzaz family’s tent was destroyed. Miraculously, Hossam, his wife Hanan, and their four children (Bashar, 9; Hani, 8; Diana, 4; and Habiba, 6 months) all survived unharmed, but many in their displacement camp did not—many men, women and children, innocent lives who had already endured so much, were lost to the violence.

Amid the chaos, the Al-Qazzaz family has clung to their faith and done their best to keep their spirits high. They've sought safety where they can, staying with relatives and mentally preparing themselves for the days ahead as war returns to Gaza. Every day is filled with fear and uncertainty—Just last week, Hanan, went to a local hospital, only for the hospital to be bombed just hours after she left it.

In the aftermath of the airstrikes, Hossam and our founder, Bethany-Grace, discussed sending some of the funds raised so far from the Chuffed campaign she is sponsoring for the Al-Quzzaz family, so that the family could rebuild their shelter. On March 28, we were able to send Hossam $788 (€697.48 after conversion) raised by the Chuffed campaign—enough to start constructing a sturdier, more protective shelter for the family. While this might seem like a significant sum, the blockade of goods into Gaza has caused prices for basic items like food, medicine, and building materials to skyrocket.

Today, because of your kindness, compassion, and generosity, Hossam was able to purchase sturdy building materials and has begun to rebuild the family's tent.

As a direct result of your help, the Al-Quzzaz family will have shelter again. They will be protected from the elements and shielded as much as possible from the dangers that surround them every second of every day.

But the Al-Quzzaz family's journey is far from over. We are still raising funds to help Hossam’s family escape to safety and rebuild their lives.

Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family and my siblings - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no food🥘🌯

, no electricity, no schools

, no cooking gas

, no homes🏚, no cleaning supplies, no clothes🧣🧥🧤

. Our house was completely destroyed

. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living

, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble.

Imagine:

We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times,

and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity💔🙏, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us? My dear compassionate friends around the world, with your generous donations, even if small, you can save 5 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza full of love, peace, and hope.
