if you don't think House is capable of empathy & caring, you must've started the show and then closed yr eyes & plugged yr ears every time he was on screen

honestly feeling like wilson asking house to risk his life and brain function to save amber was worse than anything house has ever done

i think it's interesting how the show uses house's physical pain as a manifestation of his emotional pain, especially in the context of when wilson is involved.

like we see house's guilt exhibited in his shoulder pain due to the trouble wilson faces for defending him against tritter. cuddy clocks it with calling it a "fight with the wife" ( s3e08 "whac-a-mole" ):

and, the more famously known scene i think, is in s6e10 "wilson" where house rubs his thigh, presumably due to the pain, when wilson asks house to be there with him at the liver operation:

and later in that same season ( s6e21 "baggage" ) when house shows up at dr. nolan's office having more pronounced leg pain due to wilson asking him to move out:

and lastly, in s8e19 "the c-word," after the whole chemotherapy, the emotional turmoil ranging from realizing that they're everything they need to each other, to wilson stubbornly affirming that he'd rather die in house's apartment, with house's presence alone, than to die in a hospital, house's leg hurts again.

i cant fathom how im not bored of house? im on my seventh rewatch, every episode i know whats wrong with the patient and why, i know whats wrong with the clinic patient and why, i can recite the entirety of an episodes plot B yet i am so entertained constantly

I was honestly expecting House and Wilson to have undertones in the traditional accidental queerbaiting format of having the mc’s bond with a male rival/coworker/traveling companion feel more important bc the writers don’t care enough about the female characters to focus or make them interesting.

But no, Wilson is literally just written like he’s House’s wife or fiancee. Like from a standpoint of narrative significance. He doesn’t actually work with them, he’s the only one who actively chooses to be around house and seems to think there’s some good in him from the very beginning. He pretty much is House’s personal life. He doesn’t even have that much screen time and seems to exist mostly to demonstrate that House is in fact capable of love. Like that’s…. That’s literally how female love interests are written…

last night I had a dream that House was losing his diagnostic skills for some reason, and he kind of became this weird shell of himself. He isolates, time goes by, and in that time, Wilson has come to term with his homosexuality and starts dating a guy. Upon meeting Wilson’s boyfriend, House becomes determined to prove there’s something wrong with him, thus resparking his diagnostic skills. Wilson calls him crazy after House literally falls into the backseat of their car. He tells House to stay away or else. This is all fine and dandy, until Wilson’s boyfriend is brought into the hospital, sick for unknown reasons. House is called back in as a last resort. While House descends into his usual diagnostic madness, Wilson falls back in love with him.
