A Week of Patchwork

No cross stitching for another week (:
I saw a picture of this quilt and I couldn't do anything else until I tried it.
Here is where you can purchase the pattern:
It's been a while since I did any quilting and some of my quilting brain cells appeared to be on vacation this past week.  I used a half yard bundle of Boundless Blender Ombre Rainbow fabric - you can see where I purchased the fabric  here.
I used 2.5" strips and my top ended up 47" wide x 59" high.
I am thinking of using a light blue small checked gingham fabric for the back but I usually have to puzzle over something like that before I sandwich the top and backing fabric.
I hope nothing else distracts me from finishing the cross stitching on my nativity this coming week..

Crocheted Witch and Outdoorsman

I found a pattern on ravelry to crochet a witch for Halloween.  CLICK HERE to see where to buy the pattern.
I learned some new techniques while doing this pattern and the invisible decrease is my favorite - here's a video.
I like the perfect stripes technique too which can be seen here.
I am thinking of making another little witch but the broom is a bit too fiddly for me so the next witch probably will not have a broom.

This next one is a free pattern called a Weebee which can be found here I just sort of free hand crocheted the hat and the bib part of the overalls so there isn't a pattern for them.  I probably couldn't recreate them if I tried.
This second one used a size G crochet hook so it's bigger than the witch.

My daughter will be here tonight so I can give them to her to find a good home for each of them.

Cow and Donkey Done

I have finished the cow and the donkey as well as a lot of the straw at the bottom that I have been skipping over to get to the more fun parts.
The 3 wise men are what is left on the right side and then there will be the border around the whole thing.  I am actually feeling like the end is near which seemed impossible in the early days of this project.
I am trying to crochet a witch for a Halloween decoration so I am not sure how much stitching will be done in the upcoming week.  I purchased a ravelry pattern that is giving this old brain a real work out.  Here is a link to the pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rosie-the-witch

Have a wonderful week of whatever you find time to do.
