Another 301

My dear husband knows how much I love sewing with my Singer 301s.  My granddaughter was using one of them over the Memorial Day weekend during a visit to sew a project and it worked beautifully.
I already had two 301 machines in trapezoid cases - a black 301, and a  LBOW (light beige, oyster white) 301 with only one 301 card table that they can fight over.
LOOK what he found in his yard sale travels - a solid tan/beige 301 in a No. 65 Cabinet (which needs some love), so it has the 301 cradle.
One of the drawers was full of attachments, including a a buttonholer and a zig-zag attachment (which I didn't  know existed).
The lever to lift the presser foot did not work but after cleaning the machine working parts with kerosene and then oiling and greasing this little beauty, it all works and it sews a beautiful stitch.  I had to borrow the electric cords from my LBOW 301 because, sadly the electric cords that came with this machine are showing exposed wires so he will replace those.
I don't remember what I had planned to do yesterday- something about quilting and binding a quilt top - but I enjoyed giving my new 301 a spa day.
