AZ CAL

I have finished Part 3 on one side of the Stylecraft yarn afghan.  I think I will just focus on this one instead of trying to do 2 afghans at once since I am getting behind.  Part 4 was posted yesterday morning but I will do Part 3 on the other side of the afghan and sew in my ends before I start Part 4.
The other afghan (a mix of Simply Soft and Red Heart soft) that I started and have put aside only has a few rows of Part 3 done on one side but even though I have seen pictures of some doing 3 afghans at once without getting behind, doing more than one seems too ambitious for me.
Remember I ordered yarn for a green colorway of this pattern - as much as I love this pattern I have spotted another crochet-a-long that I may do to use that yarn.

I don't know the yarn requirements for the new one that's caught my eye so I will have to wait until it starts on May 11, 2018.  Surely I will be finished with the Arizona CAL by then.

AZ CAL

I have finished Part II with the Simply Soft/Red Heart yarn - it's the bottom one on the picture.  I have a few more rows on the top one to finish Part II with the recommended Stylecraft yarn.  The Stylecraft yarn is much lighter and softer than the substitute yarns I picked.
Part III was posted today so I am hoping I can start on that this weekend.
I have some green yarns ordered to make a third afghan but it has not arrived yet.
No cross stitching for me in such a long time but I am learning a couple of new crochet stitches with this project.

I have finished part 1 of the AZ CAL.

This is done with the yarn I ordered before the Stylecraft Special DK yarn was ordered from the UK.  This is a combination of Red Heart and Caron Simply Soft - the 2 greys in the center ended up being the same color which is the problem with ordering yarn on line instead of seeing it in person.  It's still going to be a wonderful finish. 
Now I will start part 1 with the Stylecraft and see if it makes a difference in the size. 
I am using a Boye G hook, as I do not have the recommended hook size 4.5.
