hello! my name is Aziren, and between university exams and assignments I'm an aspiring fantasy writer. i'm also a DM for a multitude of TTRPGs outside from D&D, but still mostly fantasy. i've been a fanfic writer and a worldbuilder for years now, so i hope you'll enjoy my works

my main wip is Revolve, alongside its own custom TTRPG system Trick of Life. as of yet, they are both unlikely to be published soon. but while those get worked on, i'd love to chat (in posts or dms) about anythng between worldbuilding, theories, plotting or just chatting about anything XD

legit tho, dandelions are awesome as fuck. in flower language they symbolize survival, healing, happiness, youth and the fulfillment of wishes. and they're well known for growing in any and all cracks in the concrete. don't go telling me that the stubborn resilience of nature isn't beautiful

Apparently, my decision to be silly and make fanart of someone's writing (because I genuinely enjoy the story the person is writing and I was struck with inspiration upon reading a particular scene) has benevolent and wildly unforeseen consequences.

  1. I apparently gained a bit of control of the canon because said writer really loved the art and decided what I drew/draw is canon.

2. Writer put said artwork into the document of his story right below the scene, so now it's IN the story where people who read the story will see it (with a link to me)

3. He sent the artwork to all his friends and people he knows because he was so excited

Wholesome interaction and I watched him do all that in real time, good stuff. However...there are two more consequences I was notified of today...nearly a full week after I gave the artwork.

  1. Seeing the artwork caused his friends to become interested in reading and hearing about his story, which means more people are reading what he's writing and giving him critique on the story (which he actively asks for).
  2. Apparently, upon seeing the art, his writer friends got a sudden second wind to pick back up writing they'd abandoned for a few months. Because, I quote, "seeing that someone enjoyed {his} writing enough to take the time to make art of it gave them the motivation that maybe THEY can write something that will inspire someone to also create something." I have accidentally caused a writing frenzy among his writer friends and my silly idea to make art for someone has had a butterfly effect for people who I don't even know.

Uhh...I'm pretty sure there's a moral here but I am tired and have a great deal of emotions about this.

oh boy yeah. yeah absolutely. one of my favorite duos to write in Elegy to the Desperate Stars (Book 1 of Revolve) is Aira and Dani. they cannot stand each other, and at the same time they are incredibly protective of each other. like, "i hate you but i'm the only one allowed to hate you" kind of vibes. and here they are in all their glory

am i up ranting about gailkyane at 1am? yes, yes i am. am i going to stop myself and go to sleep? no, i am not

i literally love him so much, his friendship with Lukiat is the funniest thing ever to me. you would think that the bestest friend of the Xire of Esluxia, leader of the alliance, in the whole wide Realm would be someone high up on the social scale. some noble, maybe the child of a merchant, perhaps one of the younger guards

instead it's fucking Kea, sex worker leading a double life as a criminal (Niev doesn't count on account of Likiat's massive repressed crush). of all the people it could be, an assassin is generally not the first one on the list

and yet, kea is seen multiple times a month going into the citadel. people go "i mean, i guess the Xire isn't in a relationship. wish he would just settle down with someone respectable tho :/". meanwhile Lukiat and Kea are drinking and gossiping worse than that one auntie group on facebook. y'all know what i'm talking about

the only time Kea flirts with Lukiat (anymore) is in front of Niev, because he's already done with the pining. if it were up to him those idiots would have been dating yesterday

I took a creative writing class last semester, and for the week of Halloween my teacher had us write a horror story. So, I took a vague idea I had and wrote it for that! We had one day to write it. It sucked.

But, I did still love the premise, so I am in the process of completely rewriting it and turning it into something half readable.

The plot is somewhat based off of Nuclear Semiotics (definition below), but that may change as the plot progresses. As you can see I’m a nerd.

The basic premise is that tens of thousands of years in the future some scientist or doctor or explorer idk yet comes to check out some old ruins out far away from civilization. The ruins end up being where old nuclear waste is stored, and he explores for a while, starts feeling sick, and then realizes what is happening, and so like ‘fuck. I’m gonna die’ because he’s already so deep inside he’ll never get out before he dies.

So he gets out a notebook, and he starts writing. The entire shrine story is him recounting the events and reminiscing on his life. The prose and grammar slowly becomes less sophisticated and such, becomes borderline incomprehensible, and then stops completely. Think Flowers for Algernon (gosh that reference feels niche…)

Charlie from my WIP The Enhanced which I am working on a intro post to!!!!

The basic premise for why this song reminds me of her: She's a kid with superpowers, kidnapped by some guy who wants to find out why she has superpowers. Her brother died there. She escapes, and she's angry. Angry at herself, at the world. She eventually finds a flyer for some fight club thingy for people with powers. She joins to cope.

So here she is, 13 years old, taking people twice her age and size, winning only from the fact that she can shoot lightning from her fingers. A little wolf indeed.

i think that Just A Man could easily be anyone in the Reyenn / Niev / Lukiat policule. something about wanting to go back to your family but being unable to reach them and having to do things you really don't want to do but kinda have to for everyone else's safety just reminds me of them all

happy STS to you, thanks for the ask! i'm gonna work with the Elegy to the Desperate Stars crew, since at least they're familiar with the concept of Easter lmao

Aira ✵ there's probably more cracked eggs than not, though she's very apologegtic about it. she still colors them all, though with very simple zig-zag patterns and three colors at most. the colors are randomly chosen. genuinely could be the ugliest easter eggs ever

Ele ✵ a lot of marble effect and pastel colors blending into each other. pretty, but still fairly simple-looking. at least the colors match with her since she picks different color palettes for different eggs

Aleji ✵ starts with a solid color base then goes absolutely wild on tiny details and patterns. the most painstakingly made eggs ever. anything from geometric designs to floral designs goes. you ever seen the decorative plates that a grandma hangs on walls? same vibe

Beriel ✵ has given up entirely on trying to handpaint the eggs. however she has come up with sixteen different arrays to spell the colors onto the eggs in a variety of patterns. which... is a success i suppose?

Dani ✵ also starts from a solid color base, but then he paints cartoony animal faces on them. so you'll have eggs that looks like foxes and cats and dogs and birds and, why not, dinosaurs. at least one of them ends up chucked at Aira's head though
