what’s your current special interest?
oh x-men for sure. i talk about x-men any and every chance i get, i wrote an essay on it last semester that my professor said i could turn into a thesis (and i highly considered it), i got one friend into x-men and have been planning to get multiple others to watch it with me, and i have another friend who is a fan who i've had over to rewatch the movies and give commentary on them. the x-men brainrot is crazy and has not really died down at all since it started in august lmao

i'm gonna say music. am i normal about it? no absolutely not, but like, i'm not normal about anything so… either that or hanging out with my friends!! i love my friends :D

if you dyed your hair, what color: so I had my hair died a few years back, and I can't remember the specific color, but it was a gorgeous red (as a redhead who hated her hair growing up, and then it turned a sort of mousey brown and I want it back to red, this was amazing for me). once I ditch the chemo peach-fuzz and get real hair again, I'll probably go for that color again! 😁

German shepherds. We had them when I was growing up and they were so loyal and protective, and they just have the softest hearts. One of them (Jake) used to sleep by my bed every night after I woke up screaming about a spider one time. He took it as his duty to protect me from eight-legged intruders after that 🖤

Um... I don't really know. I like the black and white ones but I don't think they're a specific breed!

We have newts in our pond that are fun to watch - I name them all Isaac Newton 🍎🦎

I've dyed my hair lots of times - I'm not sure I actually know what my natural colour is now (probably grey 🤣). I've been brown, dark brown, golden brown, burgundy, ginger (I actually loved this colour!), and now I'm between dark blonde and light brown. If I was really brave I'd go back to ginger, but I doubt I will.

Favourite dog breed: I like lots of dogs but never owned any, more of a cat person. I love corgis, I think I’d get a corgi if I was to get a dog.

If you dyed your hair, what colour: I dyed my hair since I was 14/15 and only in the last couple of years have I let it go to its natural colour (light brown with blonde highlights and now grey hairs 😅). I’ve dyed my hair purple, dark brown, black, peach balayage and had blond highlights. If I was to dye it again, I’d probably go darker brown I think. If I was brave, I’d love to try lilac.

Hey lovely moots, followers, and anyone else who finds this blog post, I have a genuine question.
Why does it seem that so many people dislike or even openly hate female OCs in fanfiction? More than male OCs at that?
Until I stumbled upon Tumblr and the fanfic writing on here, I had no idea that people disliked female OCs so much, but they seem to get a lot of hate. To the point some people won’t even read a work if a female OC is included.
I 100% think you’re allowed to dislike what you want and not have to read what you don’t like, I’m just actually curious! I personally like many OCs, regardless of sex or gender. I’ve come across some not as well written ones, it’s true, but it doesn’t mean I think they’re all bad. There are some really well written ones too!
So yeah, just intrigued as to the shunning of female OCs.

Favourite smells… baking bread, the coconut smell from broom bushes, and sea air immediately come to mind.
Perfumes… Well, my husband buys me one every Christmas and it lasts me all year until the next Christmas. That’s my “posh” perfume, I wear for going out places. This year it’s Daisy Wild by Marc Jacobs. Last year it was Olympéa by Paco Rabanne. Then I have various small brand body sprays etc for everyday use when I’m just at home or popping to the shops etc.

Here is mine:
He comes to me in towering darkness, and envelopes me in his love. He traces his desires upon my skin and dances them across my lips with deft tongue. Nothing is more delightful than seeing the sharp planes of his face illuminated by my amber glow, his face kissed by gold, a sunset upon a dusky sky.
If gold can rust then Aulë achieved it, leaving me to endless futility to fritter away my talent on needless adorations of an immovable god that stifles true originality. Eru’s way, no matter what. Well, Melkor, the darkness I cleave unto, said differently, even in the very beginning. If only I had heeded him then, think what time I would not have wasted! Now I join his discord willingly, joyfully. I see the structure within his disorder. I am his channel, his conduit.
