Baby Shabby Chic Boutique - part 32 calender, garland........

I have done some new minis for my baby shop.

A calender (very important for a business) and a garland with the text: "Joy". For both minis I used images which I found on Tania's blog. Please take also a look on her great digital artwork:

For the baskets and the duck display I used somes images by

http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/

The display is 1,8 cm wide. I couldn't find my black marker so my ducks have no eyes. For the beaks I used normal orange hobbypaint.

Have a great day,

Kitchen swap

Today I have finished my kitchen swap. Wow now I have finished all my swaps for this year! As you know I am a member in a Dutch/Belgian swap group.
I have done the following swaps:

material swap (February)
I put a lot of craft materials for each one in a plastic bag - that was not so much work.....

nostalgic toy swap (April)
an elephant & a paper doll - the biggest problem was to find the right wheels

kitchen swap (June):
a clock and 2 little wooden boxes

kit swap (August):
I have done 6 little diy-kits so they can do a lot of perfume bottles and soaps..

In december I started with my swaps (I can not work very fast and I produce also a lot of minis for the waste bin). I hope my swap partners like my swaps.....

Have a great day

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 30 - working lights

I have now working lights in the boutique. Wow! I had a lot of problems to take a good foto - the problem is the very big mirror on the left wall. So I took only one photo - sorry.
I hope you like it!
A big hug to everyone and thanks for all the nice words about my French boutique.

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 29 - Shelf

I have done a little shelf for my little French boutique. For this project I cut 3 strips of cardbard each 10 cm long (I used the cardboard also for the panelling).

The strips are 2 mm, 1,5 cm and 1,8 cm wide. I put them together (for that I used some clothes-pegs).

For the shelf I used 3 S-ornaments. Ornaments by Bindels ornaments http://www.bindelsornaments.nl/joomla/

On the photo you can see also one of my little coat-hangers (yes and also a lot of Tacky glue - sorry I couldn't wait to take a photo...)

Now I am looking for 3 plugs for my lights in the boutique.

Have a great sunday

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 28 - wall lamp tutorial

I have done a little step-by-step tutorial for a wall-lamp.

Step 8: Assemble the lamp and the beads (see photo). You can also glue a mirror card into the frame or you can add some glass ornaments so your lamp looks more shabby. If you want you can also paint your frame.

Step 7: Remove the 4 little hooks which you find on the backside of the ornament. Blend the eye (90 degrees). It looks now like a "L".

Step 6: For the frame I use this ornament.

Step 5: Assemble the lamp and the beads (see photo)

Step 4: Do a cut in one of the beads (the end of the lamp is to wide). Also cut a leave from the "flower bead". Sorry the photo is not very clear!

Step 3: Test your lamp - I know it sounds a little bit stupid! For that I use a 9 V batterie

Step 2: For this little project I use a 12 V lamp. Remove a little bit of the plastic isolation at the end of the cable (use for fingers for that).

Step 1: material for the lamp:

Tomorrow I post a photo with the working lamps. Have a great saturday

Sonja

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 27 - wall lamp

I have finished one of my wall lamps for the boutique. First my plan was to use more beads and also a mirror - but it was to much....
In the next days I will post a little tutorial "How to do a wall lamp"
Have a great day,

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 26 - coat-hangers, angels & co...

Here are the results of the last days. I have done some coat-hangers, perfume bottles, soaps.....for the boutique.
I also glued 2 angels (each in one corner).
I put also the lamp into the boutique (but only for the photo). I am not sure what I do with my "reading angel". At the moment he is sitting on a thread spool - maybe I put him with some books into the shop window.
I use a lot of cheap scrapbooking elements. They are perfect for trays and frames.

The next projects are:
- a shelf
- one or two wall lamps
- more frames and trays
- gift wrapping papers

Have a great sunday,
Sonja

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique - update

Here is an update of my baby boutique. The biggest problem is to find the right position of the furniture. Yes the shop is a little bit to small for all my ideas....
The window of my shop is also empty.....I will do also some toys...

Have a great day,
Sonja
