1) That first sip of a hot mocha on a cold morning, ideally in a cheerfully decorated mug so that you can warm your chilly fingers while enjoying your delicious warm beverage

Okay, ten overly specific things that make me happy :)

1) Email notification about an updated story I’m following (and I immediately go to read it even if it takes me forever to finish).

2) Notification about a comment someone’s left about my own story, especially when they’re going off about how they felt and enjoyed it 🥺

3) The feel of my Costco fluffy blanket wrapped around me (so freaking soft and comforting I’m so glad I managed to get a hold of one)

4) The sound of certain male voices (Jeremy Jordan, Colin O'Donoghue, Ryan Potter, Peter Cullen are a few examples. I’ve actually started to cry hearing Daniel Henney in a clip before). Their voices are just really calming.

5) Really tight hugs - not smothering, but it’s like a weighted blanket around you. The pressure feels nice.

6) When cats situate themselves on you while you’re reading/writing and start purring loudly. It happened several times in our apartment and my roommate’s cat was quite lovely, keeping me company at 3 am.

7) That relaxed feeling after stretching and then lay down immediately.

8) Someone spelling out a very specific whump prompt that’s specific to a niche part of a fandom and we all get giddy over it.

9) Curled up in a blanket, at night, with headphones and mood music turned up loud and being able to close my eyes and just not think or worry about anything.

10) When family and friends send me memes or news or anything related to fandom and the acknowledgement there. (Which has been actually starting to happen recently with the fam and I’m really surprised and shocked but glad as well? It’s cool.)

10 overly specific things that make me happy:

1) laying snug in bed sometime after midnight once everyone has gone to bed, messing around on my computer and knowing I don’t have anything to get up for the next morning. (Also waking up and just laying in bed for some extra time)

2) strong summer thunderstorms. Give me it all - lightning, rumbling thunder, heavy rain. ESPECIALLY at night.

3) watching meteor showers in the summer. The air is cool, the sky is clear. I’m on the deck with a pillow and blanket. The crickets are chirping. A truly different kind of peace.

4) being inside during the day when it’s either raining or snowing out, curled up under a blanket with hot chocolate and a movie.

5) RECEIVING SUCH WONDERFUL COMMENTS ON MY FIC FROM YOU!

6) long, backroad drives with my sunglasses on and jams playing - loudly singing along (though way out of tune)

7) the best greetings from my sister’s dogs when I go to visit and getting all the puppy cuddles

8) walks along the beach in the evening with my sister/fam + the dogs. Then we’ll grab an ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s. & the feeling of walking barefoot through the sand.

9) sitting out on my deck in the day, music playing and hopefully getting some writing done for my stories. There’s a slight, warm breeze and the sun is setting just beyond the trees.

10) PAYOFF. For anything. Maybe I studied super hard for an exam and I got an A. Maybe I’ve been preparing for and working on a new painting and I’m super happy with how it turned out. Putting my heart into the stories I write and receiving such wonderful feedback.

Anytime I work hard for something and that effort pays off. The feeling can be quite unmatched.

LETS BEGIN!!

1. Getting to meet friends after a MILENNIA and realizing, nothing changed no awkwardness just good times❤️

2. Making some warm cocoa (Nutella or Kit Kat IT HAS TO BE ONE OF THESE XD) being all wrapped up in a blanket and reading angst that makes me cry ITS IRONIC BUT I LOVE IT SM!! Though no joke fluff is a super nice read all cozy too!!

3. Walking outside and it starts to drizzle, that type where the sun is still shining but you can feel the cool rain fall and ofc THE RAINBOW!! I love it sm💕

4. FAMILY!! Straight up anything involving my family makes me so happy be it is goin on late night drives or eating dinner!! I feel complete with them!!🥺

5. Completing a drawing or writing piece!! While yes it can be frustrating, when I manage to ACTUALLY finish something I feel accomplished like it’s a step forward!! (I try to not focus on the 100 wips on the side then XDD)

6. Slowly waking up as my own pace, it’s silly but my brother is my alarm clock and he doesn’t scream oh no HE JUMPS ON ME!! So those days I can slowly get up go on my phone for a bit then go down to eat are BLESSED😂

7. Doing well in school, no joke I’m a pretty good student but my fears of failing are REAL so seeing that my work paid off makes me so heckin happy like I managed to do something right!!

8. Getting a dm from a person who I haven’t spoken to in a while just wanting to catch up, there’s no time limit on friendship in my eyes and though I fear ppl see it that way it melts my heart when I get to hear from an old friend seeing how they’ve been!!

9. ICE CREAM!! Silly but it actually makes me happy the way it’s so cold so tasty and I’ve had manyyy a good memories with ice cream!! Heck when I meet new friends almost always it started by ice cream (idk how it’s strange but I love it😂🍦)

10. YOU!! Straight up I wouldn’t be here had it not been for such incredible ppl welcoming me and makin me feel like I’m a part of not just a community but a family!! You are truly incredible and I love you❤️❤️❤️

New Era - a Tangled Fan Comic

   “New Era” Is a collaborative Varian-centric fan comic set 10 years after the finale, featuring Moon!Varian and plenty of content to fill the Varian-shaped void in our hearts!

   “What if Varian had the power of the moon in him all along, but was never able to unlock it? What if, 10 years after the battle with Zhan Tiri, the moon awakes again, calling to him? What if he has no choice but to answer?”

   A few Things we have in store for this comic include, but are not limited to: -Moon!Varian (of course) -New Dream child -Answers about Varian’s mother -Quirin just being Quirin -good ol’ Brotherhood content + more!

   Posting schedule will be one page every Sunday, release date TBA! Follow for (non spoiler) concept art, updates and more!

Hello, Tangled the Series Fans!

   We are Project OBSIDIAN (PO), a group fan-project working on expanding Varian’s story. We are creating a Varian-centric fan comic to explore questions not addressed in the series, starting with season 1 and running until the end of season 3. Our plan is to take concepts and work with ideas that fit in-canon to explore his character to its fullest degree.      We will be breaking the project into episodes or chapters, each being a maximum of 24 pages in length as well as short 9 panel strips. Our primary mission of this project is to allow Tangled the Series fans to have a voice in this character and to have fun with helping him grow to his fullest potential!       OCs may be included as cameos, and AUs may be explored where applicable, whether that be through dreams, visions, or thoughts. Any ideas brought forth are reviewed by everyone on the project, and all feedback is appreciated!   Thank you for reading this far!  We look forward to working with you all in the future!
