The urge to bother my mutuals

reblog if it’s okay for your mutuals to bother you <3

Today I am writing on behalf of Mohammad Ayesh's ( @gazanphoenix ) friend, Hania. Hania suffers from diabetes and is struggling to access the necessary treatments. I am going to share with you what Hania herself writes on her gofundme campaign to give you a better picture of the urgency of her situation.

Hello, my name is Hania, and I am from Gaza. I suffer from diabetes, but unfortunately, I have not been able to get the necessary medications due to the difficult conditions in Gaza. Since the beginning of the war, I have worked hard to help others, especially families living in tents and facing severe cold, where I have provided food and drinks for them. Despite this, I could not ignore my own health condition, as diabetes has been threatening my life day after day. Over time, the lack of proper treatment has worsened my health, and I developed acidosis due to being unable to obtain the necessary treatment during crises, which sometimes leads to diabetic coma. This significantly increases the danger of my condition. All I want is to receive the medications I need to stay alive, but the conditions here make it impossible to obtain them. I urgently need treatment, and my only hope now is to leave Gaza to receive life saving medical care. I appeal to you to stand by me in this hardship and help me raise the funds needed to travel and get treatment.

Please help Hania raise the necessary amount that will help her travel and seek the necessary treatment. Her end goal as of now is just $2.4k USD

As mentioned above, Hania is vetted by association via Mohammad Ayesh. This is her Instagram account, should you want to have a look at the relief projects, Hania is associated with.

It would help a lot if we can raise the needed amount for Hania. Mohammad has requested that you reply to this post should any issue arise with donations. Please this is really a very small amount. Hania needs only 2.4k as of now.

a sketch I did cos I wanted to experiment with how "opposite" I can make them look

you know the drill. yap session below

i know most people dont care unless its the usa but its my country and i must speak about it

the current president has been president for the past 25 years, by the way. i have never witnessed a different presidential regime. if you cant do anything, atleast raise awareness on it.

the students are being sent to prison while killers and rapists go free with no consequences, students are being attacked with water but when the grand kartal hotel in bolu burned down and 78 people died they 'werent able to do anything' (they arrived an entire hour after the fire occured).

Additional information:

BBC video which reported the scene in 25/03/25.

-----

"

“They knew who they were arresting and that he has a lot of youth support. We think he was jailed to send a message to people not to protest, not to go into the street, [to say]: if this guy can be jailed, so can you. Two hundred other people were detained on the same day, so maybe now parents will warn their kids against protesting.”

-----

[...] almost 2,000 people detained in just one week as the Turkish authorities clamped down hard on the largest anti-government protests to sweep the country in years.

A longtime rival of Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, İmamoğlu was accused of corruption, removed from office [...] sent to the infamous high-security Silivri prison on the edge of Istanbul. This happened on the same day his party officially declared him a presidential nominee.

-----

“As a lawyer, I never saw anything like this before in my life. All of them held in that jail are students and none of them are guilty of anything. Their only crime was protesting, attending a completely legal gathering. This is not a crime under our constitution.”

-----

[Student demonstrator:] Gezgin has been accused of “insulting the president” and “resisting the police”. Çiçek pointed out that the 21-year-old was not at the demonstrations, as he was inside the municipality building at the time, and that a notorious incident where a crowd of protesters cursed Erdoğan’s family members occurred two days after his detention.

In a grim twist of fate, the lawyer now believes that Gezgin will also be sent to Silivri prison, facing the possibility of months in pre-trial detention.

oh and actors who are speaking up about this and telling their following to boycott certain bands that support the current government are being arrested
